What happens between creating your Moat page and seeing it inside the apps you use, step by step.
Sign in with your email and a one-time code. Then fill in your page by hand, or import from LinkedIn in one of two ways: connect your account, or upload the data export LinkedIn emails you and choose which sections to bring in.
When you join Club, Dium, joq or ewent with the same email, the app asks Moat whether you already have a page. If you do, it links to it. If you don't, a starter page is created so you can finish it later.
Apps show your page with a Moat widget at one of three depths: a compact card, a public profile, or the full page with experience and education. People can follow you and connect without leaving the app they're in.

Save a change on Moat and every connected app receives a signed message describing it. Remove an app from your page and it's told the link is gone. Delete your page and every connected app is told to let go of it.

Yes. Each app keeps its own account, but you sign in with the same email and the app reads your Moat page, so there's nothing to fill in twice.
Cards are cached in each visitor's browser for up to six hours so pages load quickly. Pressing the refresh icon on a card loads the latest version straight away. Apps that keep their own copy update as soon as they receive Moat's message.
Only through Moat's editor, while you're signed in, or through a server request from an approved partner that you've connected. Apps can't edit your page from someone else's account.
Remove it from the connected apps on your page. The app is notified and your page stops appearing there.
